Visiting a church for the first time can feel overwhelming—we understand. At First Baptist Church DeLand, our hope is that you feel comfortable, welcomed, and at home from the moment you arrive.

Here’s what you can expect when you visit.

  • Parking is available on and around our church campus. You can enter our parking lot directly on Woodland Blvd, or Oakdale via Amelia.

  • Come as you are. An we mean that.
You’ll see everything from jeans and casual attire to more traditional Sunday dress. What matters most to us is that you’re here—not what you’re wearing.

  • Our worship services are rooted in Scripture and focused on meaningful, Christ-centered teaching. You can expect a blend of worship, prayer, and a message designed to encourage and challenge us in our daily lives.

Whether this is your first church visit or you’ve been attending church for years, you’ll find that our service feels genuine and approachable.

  • We love children and families. Age-appropriate opportunities are available for children during services, and our team is happy to help you find the right place for your child. Safety and care are always a priority.

If you’re also exploring our preschool, we’d be glad to help you learn more during your visit.

  • No. We won’t ask you to stand, raise your hand, or introduce yourself publicly. You’re welcome to participate at your own comfort level.

  • Services typically last about an hour.

  • If you’d like to learn more about our church, meet our pastors, or get involved, stop by our welcome area or reach out through our website. We’re always happy to connect when you’re ready. Ready to connect now? Click here.
