  • We serve children from infancy through preschool age. Specific classroom placement is based on age and developmental readiness. We’re happy to talk through options during your tour.

  • Our daycare is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    Preschool is 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m..

    Early drop-off is available beginning at 7:00 a.m. and aftercare - for an additional fee.

  • Yes. Our preschool is part of First Baptist Church DeLand. We provide a Christ-centered environment that emphasizes kindness, respect, and love for others while welcoming families from all backgrounds.

  • Each day includes structured learning, creative play, outdoor time, rest, and age-appropriate faith activities. Our routines are designed to provide consistency while allowing children to explore and grow at their own pace.

  • Our teachers are experienced, caring, and deeply committed to the children in their care. Many have been part of our preschool family for years and are known for creating warm, safe, and engaging classrooms.

  • Yes. We do offer both full-time and part-time options for the VPK and Pre-K3 programs. We do not offer part-time care for the Infant-Twos (Potty-Trained) room. Our nursery building remains full-time care only. We encourage families to reach out to discuss their specific needs.

  • Tours are led by our Preschool Director, Rhonda, and are the best way to learn more about our program. You can schedule a tour through our website or by contacting the preschool office directly.

  • Enrollment begins with a tour and conversation to ensure our preschool is a good fit for your child and family. From there, we’ll guide you through next steps, availability, and enrollment details.

  • Each classroom has its own private Facebook group that is exclusively for parents and approved family members. Teachers use these groups to share photos, classroom activities, reminders, and updates throughout the year.

    All groups are closed, invite-only, and monitored by staff to ensure a safe and respectful space. Nothing shared in these groups is public, allowing families to stay informed while maintaining privacy.

  • Snack and meal policies vary by age and program. Details will be shared during your tour or upon enrollment.

  • At this time, we do not offer sibling discounts. Our tuition reflects the cost of providing consistent, high-quality care, staffing, and programming for each child.

  • We strive to be flexible and accommodating for our families. Invoices may be issued every other week or once a month, depending on what works best for you.

    Payments can be made by cash, check, ACH bank transfer, or credit card. At this time, we do not accept School Readiness funds. We’re happy to discuss options and help find a schedule that fits your family’s needs.

  • "We moved to DeLand a few years ago and after searching for full time care for our almost two year old, we felt ECDC was the best fit for our family due to the caring and loving nature of the staff. We’ve since had both of our children at ECDC, in all classrooms from 1 year old to VPK. Our oldest, now in elementary school, is thriving at school, reading well above grade level, fantastic at math, and doing well socially. Our youngest is in VPK now and loves going to school every day. The teachers are very communicative and any problem (which have only been very minor cuts or typical kid things) have been handled promptly and professionally. We love ECDC and if you ask any native DeLand resident, I guarantee you will find an adult who went there as a kid. A testament to a childcare center that is doing things right."

  • "Anyone I see or talk to in person, I shout from the rooftops about this program. My family moved to FL about a year ago and my main concern was about my kids transition - ECDC has been nothing but the most unbelievable experience. We started with our twins in the 2s room (now in PreK3) and our oldest in PreK3 (now in VPK). The leadership is warm, welcoming and extremely knowledgable on rules, regulations and the right and wrong way to do things. I have loved every single one of our teachers and think they are nothing short of pure magic and joy in human form. They love my babies, my kids love it there and I know they are getting a great education and will be 10000% ready for Kindergarten when the time comes. I can't speak anything more about this place, it's been wonderful for my family. Anyone who needs daycare, or preschool options, ECDC is a must visit."
