Ministries

We believe ministry isn’t limited to Sundays — ministry happens wherever people gather, needs are met, and relationships are formed. Our ministries include traditional church teams, small groups, and fellowship opportunities, as well as community-centered efforts that open our doors to our neighbors near and far. Whether it’s hosting local organizations, supporting families in need, or creating spaces for worship, celebration, and connection, each ministry is one way we live out our calling to serve with love.

We see ministry as any opportunity to love people well.

Greeters

Our Greeters are a vital part of our church family, offering a warm smile and a friendly welcome to all who enter our worship gatherings. They help create an inviting environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and at home.

Gather Team

The Gather Team helps foster connection and community within our church community. This team oversees Sunday morning fellowship time and plans church dinners, special events, celebrations, and activities that bring people together in meaningful ways.

Clothes Closet

The Clothes Closet is open to the community on the second Saturday of each month, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Individuals and families are welcome to receive free, gently used clothing. Our caring volunteers are happy to assist guests in finding what they need. We offer men’s, women’s, children’s, and infant clothing, as well as shoes and other essentials.

We also gladly accept your donations of clothing. You can bring your clothes to our Church Office throughout the week. We will then sort, size, and prepare to make your generous gift available to the community.

Benevolence Ministry

Our Benevolence Ministry Team assists individuals and families with financial assistance in paying their electric and water bills. If you’re a resident of DeLand and could use a hand with your utility bill, you can call our Benevolence Ministry phone line and leave a voicemail message, with your name, phone number, and specific need. One of our volunteers will return your call and schedule an appointment to meet with you and take next steps to help.

The Benevolent Ministry phone number is 386.734.5085

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry provides groceries to individuals and families in need. We encourage our church family to purchase buy-one-get-one-free items from their local supermarket and donate the free items to the Pantry. In addition, we welcome donations of cash and non-perishable foods. Our ministry team then purchases needed food and prepares grocery bags containing ingredients for complete meals. These food bags are available on request.

Operation Christmas Child

We are honored to serve as an official Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child drop-off location for Volusia County. In the fall of each year, we open our doors to receive your generous donations of shoeboxes, filled with toys and school supplies for children across the globe. Our team prays over the shoeboxes and the children and families that will receive them. In addition, each child will receive Gospel materials in their language, to help them experience the hope. joy and love of Jesus Christ through these simple gifts.

Iglesia Bautista Betania

We are grateful to host and partner with our friends at Betania. This Spanish-speaking church family gathers weekly in our Chapel, for worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth through Bible study and prayer.

St. Jude Trike-a-Thon

Each Spring the older children from our Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) lap our parking lot on their bikes, trikes, or scooters in support of kids cared for through St. Jude Research Hospital. This ministry is a family fun and interactive way to raise money for such a vital cause, one that specifically helps children fight life threatening diseases. Over the past 3 years our children have raised tens of thousands of dollars, all fully donated to St. Jude Research Hospital.

Community Partnerships & Events

As part of our commitment to serving our community, we open our facilities to local organizations and events, including civic groups, musical performances, academic meetings, athletic events, weddings, funerals, and special family gatherings. We believe we are a better and stronger community when we come together in support of each other.

By sharing this space, God’s church, we seek to be a welcoming presence and a resource for our neighbors throughout every season of life.
