Helpful Information about the Child:

*During the 2009 legislative session, a new law passed that required the child care facility provide parents with information detailing the causes, symptom, and transmission of the influenza virus (the flu) every year. A brochure about the influenza virus entitled The Flu, A Guide to Parents is found in our Parent Handbook.

*Benadryl Itch Stopping Gel, Antibacterial Infection Protection Ointment, Diaper Rash Cream, Sunscreen, and Insect Repellant Spray may be administered by ECDC Staff. This information can be found in our Parent Handbook.

*Section 65c-22.006(2) F. AC., requires a current physical examination (Form DH 3040) and Immunization Record (Form DH 680 or DH 681) within 30 days of enrollment.

*Section 402.3125(5) F.S., requires that parents receive a copy of the Child Care Facility Brochure, Know Your Child Care Facility. This is found in our Parent Handbook.

*Section 65C-22.006(4) @2, FAC., requires that parents are notified in writing of the disciplinary practices used by the child care facility. These are found in our Parent Handbook.

*Section 39.604, F.S. requires that parents are notified about the “Rilya Wilson Act.” A copy is included in our Parent Handbook.

*Section 402.305(9) requires parents to be informed about the dangers of leaving a child in a vehicle and tips for prevention during the months of April and September. A copy is included in our Parent Handbook.
