Our Reopening plan

What we are doing:

  • Masks – All staff and volunteers will be wearing masks
  • Hand Sanitizer – Hand-Sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the Sanctuary and other gathering places
  • Temperatures – Temperature checks will be given at the door
  • Refreshments – No food or beverages will be offered until we can ensure it is safe to do so
  • Offering – No offering plates will be passed. Alternatively, a basket will be placed in the foyer in which you can give your tithes and offerings for God’s work here in His church
  • Handouts – We will not be distributing any handouts but encourage you to stay connected on our social media, website, and e-mail newsletter
  • Behind the Scenes – We will be thoroughly disinfecting all surfaces, seats, floors, equipment, and restrooms

how you can help:

  • Health Concerns – If you have any health concerns whatsoever in worshipping in person, we encourage you to continue to worship from home electronically.
  • Social Distancing – Please maintain a distance of six feet between yourself and other guests.  Pews will be marked in the Sanctuary to allow for social distancing.  We encourage “Air High Fives” and “Air Hugs” to limit contact through handshakes and hugs.
  • Masks – Please wear a mask.  We realize this is not comfortable, but we do ask that you please wear one while worshipping with us.  Our willingness to take this necessary precaution shows our love and care for one another.
  • Handwashing – We encourage frequent handwashing and use of hand sanitizer.
  • Restrooms – Restroom use is limited to one person or family member in the restroom at a time.
  • Beverages – Please do not use water fountains, and instead bring bottled water if needed.

For your children:

  • FBC Kids is the place where your children will be safe, have fun, and learn about Jesus on their level!
  • Children birth through 5th grade have exciting experiences during each of our services times.
  • We work in partnership with parents and church leadership as we engage in meaningful music, ministry with some fun experiences to present Jesus and His church. We believe that God is good and it is our great privilege to know and experience him.

A letter from the pastor | 9.13.20:

We trust that this message finds you and your family doing well.  God is good, He is faithful, and we give Him our thanks for His presence throughout this season in our lives.  One of His best blessings to us has been our church family and we have surely missed worshipping and serving together in these past months.  We thank each of you for your continued prayers for His guidance to us all in making decisions and navigating what seems to be ever-changing days !!!  We also want to “Thank You” for your ongoing patience, understanding, and faithfulness through it all.

Our Vision Team has likewise been in continued prayer and we feel God has led us to share some great news !!!  On this coming Sunday morning, September 13th, we plan to worship in-person, in our Sanctuary !!!  We are very excited and pray you are as well.  We realize that many of you still have concerns, as do we, but we feel that with appropriate precautions we can gather in-person and praise & worship God together again.

Please read the safety guidelines carefully as we want you and your family to stay happy and healthy.

During the week this week, we will be cleaning and sanitizing the Sanctuary and marking off seating for Sunday’s worship.  On Sunday morning, we will need a couple of volunteers to help with temperature checks, sharing church information, and encouraging precautionary measures to any guests to our Sunday worship.  Of course, we very much welcome any guests to worship with us – every Sunday !!!  However, we will politely and firmly share our expectations that they join us in being careful as we all gather for worship.

If you are available and would like to assist in any of these ways, please email or call.  Likewise, if you have questions or need any additional information, please email or call.

All this said, we are very excited and enthused to worship together in-person again.  We understand the desires to shake hands, hug, high five, and embrace one another !!!  But we believe it best that these safety measures be put into place such that we can transition to being together – very intentionally, slowly, and carefully – and pray that we will be back to our full fellowship and church family hugs very soon.  Thank you for your cooperation – thank you for your ongoing prayers.  And please join us as we praise God, thank Him, and look forward to this wonderful opportunity to praise Him together – in-person - this Sunday !!!

See you Sunday,

Johnny Long, Senior Pastor
