Early Childhood Development Center in DeLand, Florida - ECDC - is a ministry to families of children eight weeks of age through pre-school. We promote the mental, social, emotional, physical and spiritual development of children. Our Center aims to enrich the life of each child so that he or she may experience the best and happiest moments of their early childhood years.

We believe that education is a life long process. However, eighty percent of a person's lifetime learning takes place in the first six years of their lives. Therefore, parents and early childhood teachers have an important responsibility. They must work together to make sure that the children in their care develop into happy, healthy independent individuals.

The Early Childhood Development Center, ECDC, is licensed by the State of Florida, (Lic # C07VO0068.) We are also a state-approved Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program provider (VPK.) The Center is a ministry of First Baptist Church. It was formed as a service to church members and to the community. Children are accepted into the Center without regard to race, color, religion, or national origin.

We welcome you to visit with us often, ask questions and make suggestions. The children will benefit most from their experience here through

a close relationship between their parents and our staff.
